Parallel photos of Donald Trump peering over at his wife Melania's ballot and Eric Trump doing the same with his wife Lara went instantly viral this morning as people began to speculate whether the men might be worried their wives were not going to vote for the family patriarch.
Speaking to CNN's Erin Burnett Tuesday afternoon, Lara Trump put to rest any doubt. "I haven't even seen either of those and I didn't know my husband was checking it out," she said, "but I think we can all feel safe in saying that Melania and I both voted for Donald Trump for the presidency of the United States." She said the photos just show the "similarities that I guess Eric and his dad share." Earlier in the day, Eric Trump reportedly violated New York election law by posting a photo of his completed ballot to Twitter.
