A fan of infamous right-wing troll Milo Yiannopoulos on Monday filed a civil lawsuit in federal court in Northern California against the University of California and public officials, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Party Chairman John Burton, and investor George Soros. The lawsuit alleges civil-rights and First Amendment violations. In court documents, Kiara Robles—who attended Yiannopoulos’ Feb. 1 speech that was canceled when protests turned violent on Berkeley’s campus—said she was subjected to bodily harm for expressing a different viewpoint. UC Berkeley said in a statement it will mount a “vigorous and successful defense of its actions and looks forward to contesting this collection of false claims.”
