Because we watch Trumpland TV so you don’t have to, today we watched conspiracy theorist and Trump pal Wayne Allyn Root blasting Tuesday evening’s Democratic response to the State of the Union, claiming in overtly sexist terms that Stacey Abrams was the wrong person for the job:
<p>Stacey Abrams? Are you kidding me? She's the most awful speaker. She just looks angry. She's just the wrong choice [...] Now Ocasio-Cortez would have been a good choice! I can't stand her views, but I know that she's an attractive woman, I know she's got a nice personality, I know she smiles a lot, I don't agree with one thing she says but I think Democrats would have won if they'd put Ocasio-Cortez up against Donald Trump they would've had a chance, not to beat Trump, but to win their arguments as a place where it's reasonable you could be up against Trump. Stacey Abrams was a huge step backwards for the Democratic Party. She's not their face of the future, you've gotta be kidding me! Bad choice!</p>
