Blake Masters, a failed 2020 GOP Arizona Senate candidate, has thrown his support behind Trump running mate Sen. J.D. Vance’s (R-OH) “childless cat ladies” rant directed at Vice President Kamala Harris. Masters, whose senate campaign was bankrolled Peter Thiel and has co-written a book with him, wrote in an X post on Thursday that he thinks “political leaders should have children.” He added, “Certainly they should at least be married. If you aren’t running or can’t run a household of your own, how can you relate to a constituency of families, or govern wisely with respect to future generations? Skin in the game matters.” Masters, who is currently running for Congress in Arizona’s 8th district, directed the same criticism at his political opponent, Abe Hamadeh, boasted about his own “wonderful wife and four beautiful boys. That’s called skin in the game... What we don’t need is someone with no wife and kids.” Vance told Tucker Carlson in a 2021 interview that the United States is run, “via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs—by a bunch of childless cat ladies.”
