President Donald Trump will end a program that grants legal work status to undocumented immigrants who were brought into the United States as children, a senior White House official has confirmed to The Daily Beast. Citing two sources close to the president, Politico reported on Sunday night that Trump will end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) with a six-month delay before the repeal is to be enforced. The window is reportedly left open in the hopes that Congress will take action to carve out exceptions for the roughly 800,000 undocumented immigrants who entered the country as minors. The president is expected to officially announce his decision on Tuesday.
