Susan Rice privately met with Senate Intelligence Committee investigators on Friday as part of their probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 election, CNN reported. Obama chief-of-staff Denis McDonough and intel chief James Clapper also met with the panel. Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr (R-NC) did not seem concerned about previous allegations that Rice had improperly unmasked U.S. individuals, an issue that was infamously raised by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA). "The unmasking thing was all created by Devin Nunes, and I'll wait to go through our full evaluation to see if there was anything improper that happened," Burr said. "But clearly there were individuals unmasked. Some of that became public which it's not supposed to, and our business is to understand that, and explain it."
