Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore and Sen. Luther Strange will advance to a runoff next month in the Republican primary race for Jeff Sessions’ old Senate seat, the Associated Press projected on Tuesday. President Donald Trump endorsed Strange, a move that prompted Brooks and other conservatives in the state and nationwide to suggest that Trump sold out to the GOP establishment.
