Now that Roy Moore has received the full endorsement of President Trump, his team seems to feel emboldened to say even more audacious things in public. For example: Moore spokeswoman Janet Porter wasted no time Tuesday morning in politicizing the unborn child of a CNN host as a way of attacking Democratic rival Doug Jones. “It’s great to be with you,” Porter told Poppy Harlow while being introduced for an interview. “And, by the way, congratulations on your unborn child. That‘s the reason why I came down, as a volunteer, to speak for Judge Roy Moore, because he’ll stand for the rights of babies like yours in the womb. Where his opponent will support killing them up until the moment of birth.” Harlow, barely missing a step, replied, “Janet, thank you for being with us, and I appreciate the congratulations on our son on the way.” When Porter later attempted to bring up Harlow’s unborn son again, the host shut it down: “Let’s leave my child out of this.” Also, in the same interview, Porter deflected from the many sexual-misconduct accusations against Moore by telling Harlow: “We need to make it clear that there’s a group of non-accusers that have not accused the judge of any sexual misconduct or anything illegal.”
