White House press secretary Sean Spicer said he thinks Melissa McCarthy’s impression of him in a surprise Saturday Night Live skit was funny, but that the actress could “could dial back” a bit. Spicer said he first heard about the sketch on Sunday while leaving church. He called the impression exaggerated and said McCarthy “needs to slow down on the gum chewing; way too many pieces in there.” His main criticism, however, was that he believes Alec Baldwin’s portrayal of President Trump on the show is too “mean.” He said, “Alec has gone from funny to mean, and that’s unfortunate. SNL used to be really funny. There’s a streak of meanness now that they’ve crossed over to mean.”
