The Senate voted 55-45 on Wednesday to reject a straight repeal of Obamacare. The bill, which was expected to be defeated, would have provided a two-year window for Congress to come up with a replacement plan. The vote comes a day after Senate Republicans narrowly voted in favor of opening debate on legislation. Seven Republican senators—Collins, Alexander, Capito, Heller, McCain, Portman, Murkowski—voted no on the repeal measure. The latter six flipped from voting yes on a full repeal of Obamacare in 2015.
