Sheriff Joe Arpaio Found Guilty in Racial-Profiling Case

Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is guilty of criminal contempt of court, a U.S. District Court judge ruled Monday. The conviction comes after Arpaio defied a court's order to end racial profiling practices in his department. Arpaio to promote racial profiling tactics against Latinos, in violation of the court order, the court ruled Monday. He is scheduled for sentencing in October, and faces up to six months in prison.
