Stephen Colbert returned from a week-long vacation on Monday night to some very exciting news.
The Late Show host could hardly contain his glee as he detailed the FBI raid on the office of President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, during his monologue. Colbert began by showing the clip of Trump addressing the alleged hush payment to Stormy Daniels on Air Force One for the very first time late last week.
Asked by members of the press why Cohen would have paid Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket just days before the 2016 election, Trump said, “You’ll have to ask Michael Cohen. Michael is my attorney. You’ll have to ask Michael.”

“Well, guess who watches TV?” the host asked in response, a broad smile forming across his face. “Robert Mueller.” The audience cheered as he laid out the details of the FBI raid, which reportedly seized files related to the Stormy Daniels payment.
“They got everything,” Colbert said of the FBI. “They got all of his information about porn in a folder marked ‘finances’ and all of his information about finances in a folder marked ‘porn.’”
Reminding viewers that Cohen claims to have made the payment out of his own pocket, Colbert said that move was “crazy.” After all, “Who pays for porn?”
