President Trump, who enthusiastically supported Republican Sen. Luther Strange in his primary campaign, has deleted at least three tweets in which he expressed support for the incumbent. Strange is the first candidate endorsed by the real-estate mogul-turned-president to have lost an election since Trump took office. Strange was beat out by deposed state supreme court justice Roy Moore. The erased tweets included boasts like “vote for Luther Strange—he has proven to me that he will never let you down!” and “Luther Strange has been shooting up in the Alabama polls since my endorsement. Finish the job—vote today for ‘Big Luther.’”
