President Trump, who for months has lambasted leaks from the White House and intelligence agencies alike as criminal and immoral, appeared to threaten ex-FBI Director James Comey on Friday morning with releasing “tapes” of their conversations. In an 8:30 a.m. tweet, shortly after saying he might end all White House press briefings, Trump wrote, “James Comey better hope that there are no ‘tapes’ of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!” Trump dismissed Comey on Tuesday in a controversial move that has stirred up numerous anonymous reports from within the White House and the FBI regarding the decision as well as their last meetings.
James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!
