NBC announced on Wednesday that Will & Grace will be returning to the network for a 10-episode limited run during the 2017-2018 season. All four of the show's main cast—Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally—are set to reprise their roles. Last September, Messing teased news that the show, which ran eight seasons from 1998-2006 and won a total of 16 Emmy Awards, would be coming back. That same day, the characters appeared a new mini-episode of the show on YouTube that centered on the 2016 election. “We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement Wednesday. “This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary—all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture—is coming back where it belongs.”
