YouTube has temporarily suspended advertisements on Logan Paul’s channels after a string of recent controversies, cutting off a significant portion of the infamous social-media personality’s lucrative revenue stream. Paul received worldwide condemnation in January when he posted a video showing the body of a suicide victim in Japan. He suffered a fresh round of backlash Monday after posting a video where he tasered two dead rats and attempted to give a fish “CPR.” Animal-welfare activists, including PETA, condemned his stunts. In a statement, YouTube said: “This is not a decision we made lightly; however, we believe [Paul] has exhibited a pattern of behavior in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers, but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.”
