Why ‘Father of the Bride’ Star Couldn’t Speak for 2 Years

Father of the Bride star Kimberly Williams-Paisley revealed the shocking reason she couldn’t speak above a whisper for two years. In an interview with People, Williams-Paisley said partial paralysis of her left vocal cord left her unexpectedly unable to speak in 2022. “I felt trapped in my own body,” she said. The actress said she had to turn down jobs and skipped out on social events because of her condition. Doctors first determined that Williams-Paisley’s neck muscles were tensing, causing her vocal cords to hit each other. To “get my body to unlock,” she said, she tried a myriad of unconventional remedies— including hypnosis, a vegan diet and a psychic. Then, in August, she had surgery to move her paralyzed vocal cord closer to the other, and was immediately able to speak again. “I still can’t yell down the road. And at the end of a long day of talking, I’ll sound a little more raspy than I used to, but I think that’s sexy,” she said. “And I’ve learned that when you talk quieter, people lean in, which is not bad either.”

The Charlotte Hornets have apologized after giving a PS5 to a 13-year-old fan at a game—then taking it away. After bringing down young fans onto the court during Monday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Hornets mascot, Hugo, gave away Christmas presents for the skit. Hugo, dressed in a Santa Claus outfit, handed the PS5 to the fan named Jack, who was visibly shocked by the gift. His nephew, Alexei Phillips, told WJZY-TV that it was taken away once they went backstage. “Everybody thinks that Jack is going to get this PS5, including all the dancers, all the cheerleaders, everybody basically like, starts congratulating him,” Phillips told the outlet. “Then we get kind of like all the way to the backstage... the guy who kind of found us in the first place, he starts to kind of take it away. And everybody thinks he’s joking because nobody would think he’d be taking the PS5 from the kid.” He was then given a jersey instead. The Hornets responded to the outrage, saying that the skit “included bad decision making and poor communication.” The statement continued: “We will be providing the fan with the PS5 that he should have taken home last night along with a VIP experience to a future game.”

Twelve people died at a popular ski resort in Georgia from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, the country’s officials announced. The bodies of 11 Indian nationals and one Georgian national were found on Saturday in a sleeping area above an Indian restaurant at Gudauri, a skiing destination in the Caucasus Mountains near the Russian border. A preliminary investigation found no signs of injuries or violence, authorities said, though a generator was found in an enclosed space nearby. Authorities said the generator was likely plugged in the previous day when the restaurant lost power. The deaths will be investigated as negligent homicides. Police said the victims were all employed at the restaurant. The Indian embassy in Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi, said it was “committed to providing all possible support” to the grieving families and is working to repatriate the bodies of the Indian nationals. Gudauri, which sits at one of the highest points in the Caucasus Mountains, has become a popular alternative to the more expensive European skiing resorts in the Alps.

Young Americans Have Never Been Richer—But Face Unprecedented Problems
KIDS THESE DAYS

Young adult Americans are richer than ever before but, according to the Treasury Department, they still feel “an increasing sense of economic fragility.” Research released by the department Wednesday showed that real median wealth for Americans between 25 and 39 climbed to $80,500 in 2022—an increase from $23,750 in 2010, as measured in 2023 dollars. While young American adults have enjoyed a surge in net wealth during the recovery from the pandemic, today’s under-40s are also being hit by a wide array of economic headwinds. The Treasury research points to real non-housing debt almost doubling between 1989 and 2022—fueled by student loan debt—while the costs of housing, healthcare, and childcare have all risen faster than young adults’ incomes. The report also gave a “special mention” to the aging U.S. population which has meant that the young face increasing competition for jobs and housing from “older, wealthier, and more experienced counterparts.” It’s perhaps small wonder that a recent poll found Gen Zers think they need to earn almost $600,000 to consider themselves “financially successful.”

Ryan Reynolds has shocked fans by claiming that his wife, Blake Lively, grew up “very working class.” The Deadpool actor made the comment while speaking to the Hollywood Reporter about the couple’s efforts to keep their children out of the limelight as they grow up. “I try not to impose upon them the difference in their childhood to my childhood or my wife’s childhood. We both grew up very working class,” said Reynolds in the interview last week. Many on the Internet were quick to point out Lively’s upbringing, growing up with a family in the entertainment industry. Both of Lively’s parents spent their careers in Hollywood, according to People. Her mother, Elaine, was an actor and talent manager, while her father, Ernie, was an actor and director. Lively has in the past claimed that she grew up on sets, and was cast in her father’s 1998 film, Sandman. Reynolds, on the other hand, had a different upbringing. His father was a policeman and his mother was a retail sales associate. Fans online expressed their dismay with Reynolds' comment. “Two out of touch celebrities,” wrote one Instagram user commented on a Complex post. “Working class is one of Ryan’s funniest jokes,” wrote another.

Gloria Borger is departing CNN, the network confirmed to Deadline. The senior political analyst has been with the channel since 2007, featured prominently in CNN’s election coverage on shows like Situation Room and AC360. She was formerly the network’s chief political analyst, hosting various political documentaries and leading CNN’s long-form reporting on All Business: The Essential Donald Trump and Almost President: The Agony of Defeat. Borger, in 2008, was part of CNN‘s Peabody Award-winning coverage of the 2008 presidential primary campaigns and debates. Prior to joining CNN, Borger was a national political correspondent for CBS News, contributing to Face the Nation, 60 Minutes II and special events coverage. She also was a co-anchor of CNBC’s Capital Report. In recent years, however, Borger has cut back her responsibilities at the CNN, and her less frequent on-air appearances have been noticed by viewers. She is the latest longtime CNN personality to leave the network after anchor Alisyn Camerota departed following a decade at the company earlier this month. “My first order of business is to spend time ungoverned by a TV schedule,” she told the Daily Beast in a statement. “I’ll always be watching and cheering for CNN.”

Pornhub Warns Florida Users of Imminent Ban

A new age verification law in Florida will block access to the popular porn site Pornhub beginning Jan. 1. “You will lose access to Pornhub in 13 days,” a popup on the site reads for Florida users. The statement adds that users will be required to upload a government ID to continue accessing the site. “We don’t want minors accessing our site and think preventing that from happening is a good thing,” the popup reads, “but putting everybody’s privacy at risk won’t achieve that.” The bill, signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in March, requires websites featuring sexual content to have age verification mechanisms. Pornhub’s response to similar laws in other states is to geoblock users. State Rep. Chase Tremont, who sponsored the bill, told Florida Politics that Pornhub’s decision to shut down the site rather than comply “tells us exactly who their real target audience is.” The Free Speech Coalition filed a suit against the law this week, alleging that it places “substantial burden on adults who want to access legal sites without fear of surveillance.”

Sex toys are a fun and spicy way to add more excitement to the bedroom. However, most are designed for solo pleasure—which is a lot less exciting.MysteryVibe solved this issue with its Tenuto 2 vibrator. Now, MysteryVibe has improved its design and effectiveness in the new Tenuto Mini.

The secret to the Tenuto Mini is the three robust motors that deliver powerful vibrations on key erogenous zones at the head or base of the penis. It’s made with a water-resistant and flexible silicone that fits most penis sizes, soft or hard. The vibrations stimulate the penis to increase blood flow and arousal for harder erections.

Tenuto Mini
30% off the original price

However, that’s not all this small-yet-mighty vibrator can do. The Tenuto Mini keeps men harder longer. Slide the vibrator down to the base of the penis to gently constrict blood flow, extending performance and pleasure. Plus, those powerful motors don’t forget the clit exists, stimulating it as well for mind-blowing pleasure.

Everything can be controlled via buttons on the vibrator itself or Bluetooth with the free companion app—opening up a whole new avenue of pleasure and play. With the app, you or your partner can explore and control 16 different vibrational intensity levels, fine-tuning the vibrator to both of your likings. Once you nailed it, save the vibration patterns for quick access for the next time. The only limitation is your imagination. Worried about privacy? MysteryVibe thought of that. The packaging is discreet and—as a bonus—the shipping is free.

A reality TV star has broken his silence on his arrest for alleged domestic violence, pledging to make “meaningful changes in my life.” In a statement posted Wednesday on Instagram, James Kennedy, a recurring cast member of Vanderpump Rules, said he is “taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones.” He added that “navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me.” Kennedy’s comments offer a contrast to his earlier refusal to apologize after police responded to calls about a man and women arguing at his home last week and he was was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery. “We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James,” his attorneys told the Daily Mail last Friday, adding there had been no injuries and that they were confident no formal charges would be filed. The alleged victim, who has not been formally identified, reportedly told officers that she’d been lifted up and then thrown to the ground by her boyfriend.

Trump Takes His Canada Trolling Up a Level in Bizarre Early Morning Post
‘A GREAT IDEA’

Donald Trump ramped up his campaign of mockery against Canada on Wednesday with a trolling Truth Social post in the early hours. “No one can answer why we subsidize Canada to the tune of over $100,000,000 a year? Makes no sense!” the president-elect wrote. “Many Canadians want Canada to become the 51st State. They would save massively on taxes and military protection. I think it is a great idea. 51st State!!!” Trump has threatened to impose a 25 percent tariff on goods from Canada if it fails to stem the flow of migrants and drugs over the border into the United States. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago—where he reportedly warned Trump that such tariffs would kill the Canadian economy, leading Trump to suggest Canada could become the 51st state. The Republican has since publicly referred to Trudeau the “governor” of “the Great State of Canada” even as the Canadian government has been plunged into crisis, spiraling this week as the powerful Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigned and accused Trudeau of being ill-prepared to deal with a “coming tariff war.”
