A school bus carrying children home in Anaheim Hills, Calif. ran off the road, crashing into trees and sliding down a hill on Thursday afternoon. At least 12 people were injured and three are listed in critical condition, including the driver who had to be pulled from the wreckage by firefighters. "The kids are screaming for us," a witness described. "[We're] trying to get them to jump out but the slope is so horrible and people just came running from everywhere." According to California Highway Patrol, the preliminary evidence shows the driver might not have hit the brakes before crashing.
