14-Foot Alligator With Body in Mouth Killed in Florida Canal

A 14-foot alligator spotted with a body in its mouth was shot and killed in a Florida canal on Friday. Bay News 9 reports that after the gator was dead, wildlife officials found the remains of an adult in the Largo waterway. The victim has not been identified and authorities are trying to determine the cause of death. “It’s crazy,” local resident Jennifer Dean told WFLA. “My kids walk by there all the time, so it’s really scary.”
