3.5-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Dallas

SHAKY GROUND

Fracking suspected as cause.

The U.S. Geological Service reports that a 3.5-magnitude earthquake occurred Tuesday six miles from Dallas and five miles from Irving, Texas, which has experienced 19 earthquakes since last September. The uptick in Texas quakes began in the last several years with the oil and gas boom fed by fracking.
