After receiving complaints from neighbors about a disgusting odor coming from next door, California police searched a home in Santa Ana only to find 400 pythons, all but two of which were dead. The man under investigation has been taken into custody for possible animal cruelty charges. He is reportedly a teacher at a local elementary school. In perhaps the understatement of the year, one neighbor said so many snakes nearby was “kind of terrifying, I’m not going to lie.”
