While figures are expected to climb, so far at least 64 people are dead and 126 injured in a double bombing during Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque in Kano, Nigeria. It is unclear whether the emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, was present during the attack. Just last week, he had urged followers to take up arms against Boko Haram. He is officially the No. 2 cleric, after the sultan of Sokoto.
