As if going to the dentist wasn't already a nightmare. An estimated 7,000 dental patients will need to be tested for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV because they may have been exposed to the infections at Dr. W. Scott Harrington's unsanitary dental practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Dental Act found "major violations" of health and safety laws at Harrington's practice during a recent investigation, including reusing needles, administering medications that expired in 1993, and using rusty instruments and a sterilizing device that had not been tested for six years.
