New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez’s drug suspension appeal managed to earn him an extra 49 games, but he’s still out for the entire season. A-Rod was suspended for 211 games in August for alleged violations of Major League Baseball’s drug agreement and labor contract following an investigation of Florida’s Biogenesis of America anti-aging clinic, which reportedly distributed performance-enhancing drugs. But arbitrator Fredric Horowitz’s decision on Saturday morning shortened the sentence to 162 games, or one full season.
