Thanksgiving is a great holiday. You love Thanksgiving. Your Mom loves Thanksgiving. But what about turkeys? Do they?
That’s the question Jenny Brown asked herself, and her answer was to open the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in Woodstock, NY. She realized that turkeys have, as she puts it, “nothing to be grateful for” each year on the last Thursday of November.
In true Woodstock style, many of the turkeys have names like Lennon and Marley, which Brown thinks represent their “unique personalities.”

In the video, Brown misspoke slightly on the number of turkeys killed each year for consumption. It's somewhere between 250 and 300 million, not 10 billion, which is the total number of land animals killed for consumption each year in the U.S.
Either wayt, her “Thanksliving” celebration actually sounds quite charming. So is the literal “turkey point of view” offered by the GoPros attached to the turkeys as they run around the coop.
