The journalist isn't afraid to tell her own story. Former executive editor of the New York Times Jill Abramson gave a wide-ranging interview to Cosmopolitan, describing her recent firing, the Instagram picture of her in boxing gloves, and next moves. "Is it hard to say I was fired? No. I've said it about 20 times, and it's not. I was in fact insistent that that be publicly clear because I was not ashamed of that," she told the magazine. Abramson said she's been reading, writing, going to Yankees games, and relaxing in Greece, but will be getting back to work with a teaching gig at Harvard this fall. "A lot of news organizations have approached me. I know I don't really want to run something again right now," she said.
