A sexual harassment complaint against John Bailey, the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, has been dismissed following an internal investigation, the organization said Tuesday. “The Committee unanimously determined that no further action was merited on this matter. The findings and recommendations of the committee were reported to the Board which endorsed its recommendation. John Bailey remains President of the Academy,” the organization said in a statement. Three separate sexual harassment complaints were lodged against Bailey earlier this month, though no details were released on the claims. The Academy’s investigation of its own president was widely seen as a major test of the organization’s new code of conduct following Harvey Weinstein’s ouster last fall. Bailey, 75, was at the helm of the organization for the Weinstein scandal after being elected to a one-year term last August.
