After being served with an indictment for injuring his four-year-old son, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson flew to Texas to turn himself in to authorities early Saturday before posting $15,000 bond and being released. According to CBS Houston, the “whooping” to the young boy came after he pushed another one of Peterson’s kids “off of a motorbike video game.” Peterson reportedly hit his son with a switch (a tree branch with the leaves pulled off) repeatedly, leaving him with cuts and bruises on his arms, legs, back, scrotum, hands, and buttocks. The boy told investigators that his father, whom he was visiting from Minnesota, “likes belts and switches” and “has a whooping room.” Peterson reportedly told police, “I have nothing to hide, but I also understand when a child has marks like that on his leg, they have to report that.”
