Air Force Left Texas Killer Devin Kelley’s Name Off Criminal Database

The U.S. Air Force did not enter Sutherland Springs shooter Devin Kelley’s domestic-violence offense into a database, the Air Force said in a Monday statement. Kelley was discharged from the Air Force in 2014 after a court martial convicted him on domestic-assault charges against his wife and infant stepson. Kelley served 12 months in a military lockup and was prohibited from buying or possessing firearms after his release. But the Air Force did not enter his conviction information into the National Criminal Information Center database. The Air Force said it would review other databases and procedures to ensure criminal records were up to date.
