An Alaskan murder suspect may have been linked to as many as seven other killings across the country, police said Sunday. Israel Keyes had confessed to murdering a couple in Vermont and was suspected in the slaying of a coffee-shop barista in Anchorage. Keyes died in what appears to have been a suicide in his cell, according to investigators. The 34-year-old is thought to have been involved in the deaths of five more people, including four victims in Washington state and another in New York. Authorities have not said how Keyes, who was alone in his cell at the time, took his own life.
