WHO ME?

The actor explained that he thought the guy was ‘going to run my wife over with his car’ before their altercation.

“I punched a nun,” Alec Baldwin joked when Ellen DeGeneres brought up his most recent brush with the law in a new interview to air on Monday afternoon. “I pulled her out of her car.”

That was the actor’s way of downplaying the altecation over a parking space outside his New York apartment that led him to plead guilty to second-degree harassment last month. He will reportedly have to participate in an anger-management program and pay a $120 fine. But he insists that he did not “punch” the man as was originally reported.

“What’s interesting is that in New York,” Baldwin told DeGeneres, “there are cameras everywhere.” What “upset” him is that people were saying he “punched this guy, which was not true,” noting that the surveillance footage shows that “no one punched anybody.”

“But once that story’s out there,” he added, “you know the D.A. never gets out there after the fact and says, ‘Mr. Baldwin is, you know, such a great guy. He would never do a thing like that.’”

Baldwin admitted that he “had an argument with the guy,” explaining that he “thought he was going to run my wife over with his car when he was stealing my parking spot.” But now, “he and I are best friends,” the actor added with a smirk. “I’m kidding.”

DeGeneres suggested that in the future Baldwin, who has four children under the age of 6 with wife Hilaria, should just “line your strollers up in your parking space and save it that way.”

At another point in the interview, Baldwin told the host that even his young kids are “a little sick” of him playing President Trump on Saturday Night Live. “Yeah, they’re sick of it,” he said. “Whatever you teach them that’s something they shouldn’t do, they immediately assign that horrible thing to Trump.”

For instance, Baldwin said, his son will ask him, “Does Trump pick his nose, Dad?” And he replies, “Yes, he does. He does and it’s a horrible thing to do.”

“You’re raising them right,” DeGeneres said with a laugh.
