ABC announced on Tuesday that it has ordered eight episodes of a new hour-long talk show titled Sundays with Alec Baldwin. The Emmy-winning actor and Donald Trump impersonator previously hosted a similar show—based on his WNYC podcast Here’s the Thing—0n MSNBC, but that program was canceled after just five episodes. A sneak peek of the new show, featuring interviews with Jerry Seinfeld and SNL’s Kate McKinnon, is scheduled to premiere after the Academy Awards this coming Sunday night, March 4. Baldwin has come under fire in recent weeks for his controversial comments about the #MeToo movement, including defenses of male friends who have been accused of sexual misconduct like James Toback and Woody Allen. —Matt Wilstein
