Alec Baldwin will return to play President-elect Donald Trump on this weekend’s Kristen Wiig-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live. “I’m going to do it again this weekend, but not all that often. There was a lot of things online that was said about it—like why didn’t I do it after the election?” he told Vanity Fair. “I was booked that weekend. Not even other jobs; we have things to do.”
On Election Day, before the results were clear, Baldwin said he “hoped” he would not have to play Trump again on SNL and indicated he would only return to the part if Trump were to win. In his final appearance on the show before the election, Baldwin broke character to apologize to Kate McKinnon, as Hillary Clinton, for spending the fall attacking her as Trump. “Don’t you guys just feel gross all the time about this?” he asked.
