Former Fox News host Alisyn Camerota got candid on Wednesday when describing her time working for the recently deposed Fox chief. “I think that it was very hard to work for Roger Ailes,” the current host of CNN’s New Day told SiriusXM host Pete Dominick. “I had a hard time working for Roger Ailes on a bunch of different levels. I think that we were all scared—um, I can speak for myself—he was a scary person to work for... it wasn’t easy.” Ailes was deposed from the network in July 2016 after allegations of serial sexual harassment came about following ex-host Gretchen Carlson’s lawsuit claiming as much. Camerota worked at Fox News for 16 years before moving over to CNN in 2014. While noting that Ailes also happened to be “a charming and charismatic person at times to work for,” she further explained how “he could be loud, and there was a whole culture there that flowed down from how he ruled with an iron fist.”
