Golden Globe Nominations: ‘Vice’ Leads with 6 Nods

‘Vice’ lead the Golden Globe nominations with six nods on Thursday. According to the announcements, Amy Adams, Patricia Arquette, Connie Britton, Laura Dern and Regina King will vie for Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie. Alan Arkin, Kieran Culkin, Edgar Ramirez, Ben Whishaw, and Henry Winkler will compete for Best Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie. Barry, The Good Place, Kidding, The Kominsky Method, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will go head-to-head in the Best Comedy TV Series category.

Earlier this week, Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg were announced as the evening’s hosts.

The Alienist, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, Escape at Dannemora, Sharp Objects, and A Very English Scandal were all nominated for Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Kristen Bell, Candace Bergen, Alison Brie, Rachel Brosnahan, and Debra Messing have all been nominated for Best Actress in a TV Comedy or Musical; and Sasha Baron Cohen, Jim Carrey, Michael Douglas, Donald Glover, and Bill Hader were nominated in the corresponding category.

Alex Bornstein, Patricia Clarkson, Penelope Cruz, Thandie Newton, and Yvonne Strahovski, have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited-Series, or TV Movie. Meanwhile, in the category for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Limited-Series or TV Movie, Antonio Banderas will compete against Darren Criss, Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Bruhl, and Hugh Grant.

The awards show will air on Sunday, January 6, 2019 on NBC.
