Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called Elon Musk “one of the most unintelligent billionaires” she has ever met while condemning his role in President Donald Trump’s administration. The New York congresswoman shared a video on Instagram Tuesday where she slammed the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for his influence over the federal government. “This dude is not smart, and the danger in the lack of intelligence and the lack of expertise that Elon has, I mean, this guy is one of the most morally vacant, but also just least knowledgeable about these systems that we know of,” she said. Ocasio-Cortez chewed out the tech “dude” for his leadership over the DOGE and claimed that the agency isn’t doing “their homework” and putting 19-year-olds in positions of power at the Treasury Department. “This dude is probably one of the most unintelligent billionaires I have ever met or seen or witnessed,” she said. The Democrat firebrand’s comments come just days after concerns first began to rise over Musk’s competency as head of DOGE as well as his access to the federal payment system that distributes $6 trillion annually.
