"Archie" Headed to the Big Screen?

The Dark Knight, Iron Man 3, The Avengers, Archie: The Movie? If a new Warner Brothers project keeps up its steam, that last one could be the latest addition to the comics-movie pantheon. Earlier this week, the company closed a deal for a live-action, contemporary adaptation of the redheaded teenager's adventures in Riverdale. Jason Moore, who directed the a cappella comedy Pitch Perfect, is attached to the project, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, known for "Glee" and the upcoming "Carrie" remake, is set to write the script. Will fans flock to see Betty and Veronica fighting over Archie on the big screen? We'll see.
