A fifth woman has accused Sen. Al Franken of sexual misconduct, telling CNN on Thursday that he groped her during a photo-op on a 2003 USO tour. Stephanie Kemplin, 41, alleged that while stationed in the Middle East during the Iraq War, she met a pre-Senate Franken after waiting in line to take a photograph with him. “When he put his arm around me, he groped my right breast. He kept his hand all the way over on my breast,” Kemplin recalled. “I’ve never had a man put their arm around me and then cup my breast. So he was holding my breast on the side.” She said she then shifted her body so that his hand was no longer on her breast. “I remember clenching up and how you just feel yourself flushed,” she told CNN. “And I remember thinking—is he going to move his hand? Was it an accident? Was he going to move his hand? He never moved his hand.” Kemplin added: “It was long enough that he should have known if it was an accident. I’m very confident saying that.” CNN described Kemplin as having repeatedly broken down into sobbing during their conversations with her; and as having frequently used the word “embarrassed” to describe her initial feelings.
