Recipe

Alice Waters’ roast chicken is perfect for the fall.

I love a classic roast chicken in the fall. Not only is it a crowd-pleaser, but leftovers are great for all sorts of things, from sandwiches to salads. Nothing says home and comfort like this recipe from one of my favorite grande dames of the kitchen, the legendary Alice Waters. I have had the pleasure and privilege of dining at her table more than once. We owe her much for the way we eat today.

Restaurant

This cozy enoteca is absolutely perfect for a leisurely Sunday brunch.

My favorite place to have Sunday brunch and leisurely read the paper is Il Posto Accanto in the East Village. They have several Italian egg dishes as well as an amazing, scrumptious pastry basket that makes me think of fall weekends in Tuscany.

Food Destination

Bali is one of few places in the world where you can have Indian, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese all in one restaurant.

I love Bali, Indonesia, as a food destination. The wonderfully fresh seafood and pan-Asian flavors you find are a feast for the senses. I love that you can go to one restaurant and have multiethnic cuisine like Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Indonesian all in one place.
