The Trump Organization has fired at least 18 undocumented workers from five golf courses in both New York and New Jersey within the past two months, Eric Trump confirmed to The Washington Post. According to Trump, the president's son who oversees the day-to-day operations of the Trump Organization, three of those fired worked at Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck in New Jersey, three others were from Trump National Golf Club Philadelphia, and 11 more were fired from the club in Westchester, New York. According to the Post, another worker—Juan Quintero—at Trump National Golf Club Hudson Valley in New York was also fired. Quintero reportedly worked at the club for about 18 years before he was axed.

Four fired workers reportedly met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill last week, and Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) then wrote a letter to FBI Director Christopher A. Wray and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen urging them to look into the matter. “The workers I met with describe a hostile environment where they were verbally abused and threatened,” Menendez reportedly wrote. “Given the serious nature of these allegations, I request that the FBI/HSI immediately open an investigation regarding the Trump National Golf Clubs.”
