At least 23 people were killed Saturday and another 11 seriously injured after a bus transporting tourists in Turkey fell down a cliff. Turkish authorities said the bus, traveling from Izmir to the tourist hotspot of Marmaris, tipped over on a road before plunging 15 feet down a cliff and colliding with another vehicle. The driver was among the dead and most of the victims were women, deputy governor of Mugla province, Kamil Koten, told Turkish media. The passengers were reportedly on their way to a Mother’s Day event. An investigation has been opened into the cause of the crash.
