U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will be meeting with the families of the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks to discuss the FBI’s investigation that their phones and their dead relatives’ phones were hacked by News of the World. Although no evidence has been uncovered to support the British tabloid the Daily Mirror’s claim about the victims’ phones being hacked, the meeting, scheduled for Aug. 24, is a sign of how seriously Holder and the FBI are taking the investigation. "Between Osama bin Laden's death and the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in September, this is a very stressful time for us. If the phone-hacking allegations turn out to be true, it would be very upsetting for us—it would be such a violation,” said one relative. Meanwhile, there would be a number of lawsuits the families could pursue against News Corp.
