In a letter to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, Attorney General William Barr notified Congress that he has received Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the results of the Russia investigation and may be able to brief them on his conclusions as early as this weekend. “The Special Counsel has submitted to me today a ‘confidential report explaining the prosecution and the declination decisions’ he has reached...” Barr wrote. “I am reviewing the report and I anticipate that I may be in a position to advise you of the Special Counsel’s principal conclusions as soon as this weekend.” Mueller’s probe into possible Russian interference in the 2016 election has been ongoing since 2017.
