Prolific multi-hyphenate, Dan Bucatinsky, is an award-winning actor as well as a writer, producer and best-selling author.

 In 2013, Bucatinsky won an Emmy Award in the “Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series” category for his performance as “James Novak” on Shonda Rhimes’ SCANDAL, a role he portrayed for three seasons. He will next appear opposite Lindsay Lohan and Kristin Chenoweth in the Holiday rom-com “Our Little Secret”, premiering November 27th on Netflix. In television, Bucatinsky is currently in production on HBO Max's "Hacks," returning as "Rob," the show-runner to Deborah Vance's new talk show from Season 3. Past television credits include series regular roles on ABC’s “The Baker and the Beauty,” CTU analyst Andy Shalowitz on the FOX reboot: “24: Legacy” and NBC’s comedy “Marry Me.” Additional credits include recurring roles on Hulu’s “How I Met Your Father” and “Chicago Med,” as well as many guest appearances on such shows including “Sex Lives of College Girls”, "Grace & Frankie," “Superstore,” “Mom,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Will and Grace” and "Friends". Recent film roles include the acclaimed “Air”, directed by Ben Affleck, “Second Act,” opposite Jennifer Lopez and Steven Spielberg's "The Post," starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. Previous film credits include “Under the Tuscan Sun” and “The Opposite of Sex”. As a writer, Bucatinsky is currently serving as Consulting Producer on Hulu’s “Mid-Century Modern” from creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, a role which he also held on “Grey’s Anatomy” for two seasons. He was also a Co-Executive Producer on NBC's dramedy, “Lipstick Jungle.” In 2003, Bucatinsky and producing partner, Lisa Kudrow, founded Is or Isn’t Entertainment, which created and produced the Emmy-nominated cult comedy, “The Comeback” for HBO, both in 2005 and again in 2014. Their daytime game show “25 Words or Less,” hosted by Meredith Vieira, is now airing its sixth season. The company, along with writer/director Don Roos, created the Emmy-nominated web-to-TV comedy "Web Therapy" which starred Kudrow, as well as Bucatinsky, in addition to an impressive roster of stars including Meryl Streep, Steve Carrell, Meg Ryan, Jon Hamm, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rashida Jones, and many others. Bucatinsky and Kudrow are also long-time Executive Producers of the Emmy-winning docuseries “Who Do You Think You Are?,” for over ten years. His most avid fans will remember Dan as the writer, producer and star of the hit, indie romantic comedy, “All Over the Guy” which was released by Lionsgate Films in 2001.
 Bucatinsky is the author of the best-selling book, “Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight” which he also narrated as an audiobook for Audible. He resides in Los Angeles with his husband, filmmaker Don Roos, and their two kids.
