Fran Drescher is best known for her title role in the 90’s sitcom The Nanny, a series she created and executive produced. She has lent her unique voice to her activism in areas of health, civil liberties, and environmental issues.Today she holds the esteemed position of President of SAG–AFTRA, leading the charge on the 2023 TV/Theatrical/Streaming contract negotiations, its 118-day strike and ultimately, a billion-dollar deal. Her now famous strike speech awakened workers around the world and ignited the Hot Labor Summer!Fran successfully lobbied to pass a gynecologic cancer bill by unanimous consent which led to a U.S. State Department appointment of Public Diplomacy Envoy.She has written two New York Times bestsellers as well as a children’s book. Fran is also the founder and president of the Cancer Schmancer Movement.
