A California car crash that killed a married couple and at least three of their adopted children appears to have been intentional, the California Highway Patrol told KGW8. CHP Acting Assistant Chief Greg Baarts said that the SUV’s speedometer was at 90 mph when it went off the Mendocino Coast cliff. Baarts said the “information is not conclusive or factual” but police did have reason to believe the “crash was intentional” based on preliminary information. Earlier in the week, County Sheriff Tom Allman stated that there were no skid or brake marks at the scene. The crash killed Jennifer and Sarah Hart and three of their six adoptive children. Their other three children are considered “missing,” but Sheriff Allman said they have “every indication to believe” that all six children were in the car during the crash.
