Steve Bannon was interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller over multiple days this week, two sources told NBC News on Thursday. The former chief strategist to President Trump sat down with Mueller for a total of roughly 20 hours as part of the special counsel’s probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 election. This comes as Bannon appeared on Capitol Hill on Thursday for closed-door meeting with the House Intelligence Committee—where he reportedly “refused to discuss events that took place after the 2016 presidential election, including the transition and his time inside the White House.”
