Just hours after his official ousting from the White House, Steve Bannon returned to his previous position as executive chairman of Breitbart News on Friday evening. He reportedly chaired the company's evening editorial meeting. “The populist-nationalist movement got a lot stronger today,” said Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow. “Breitbart gained an executive chairman with his finger on the pulse of the Trump agenda.” Bannon served as a strategist for President Donald Trump and was previously campaign CEO during the final leg of Trump's run for office. Meanwhile, Bannon gave interviews on Friday to multiple outlets including The Weekly Standard, in which he claimed: “The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over."
