Attorney General William Barr, while testifying before the House Appropriations Committee, said that he offered Special Counsel Robert Mueller a chance to review his conclusions on the investigation between President Trump and Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election and that Mueller declined. Barr also said that he will be “in a position” to release a redacted version of the report within a week. Barr appeared before Congress to discuss the Justice Department budget, but lawmakers on Tuesday took the opportunity to grill him about the Mueller report.
