Another day, another...bear attack? A black bear clawed a 12-year-old girl on Thursday night, leaving her in the hospital in stable condition but with deep lacerations in her thigh. Abby Wetherell was walking on a road near her Michigan home when the bear attacked--for no apparent reason, as officials found no evidence of potentially endangered cubs nearby. Wetherell was able to run toward a nearby house, but not before the bear lunged a second time. A neighbor soon heard her screams and managed to chase the creature away.
